Fantastic experience: I popped in to buy a bouquet for my lad who was performing in a theatre show, and I couldn’t have been happier with the experience. The florist took the time to ask a few thoughtful questions about colours and style, and within about 15 minutes had put together the most beautiful bouquet. It was absolutely perfect, my lad was chuffed with the flowers, and they really made the occasion feel that bit more special. I really appreciated the care and attention that went into it. Fantastic experience: On Thursday 8th August myself and my wife travelled from Leeds to Wolverhampton for a family wedding, we tried quite a few shops to get a button hole and a corsage for my wife at the end of business hours to no avail, however on the way back to our hotel we spotted a florists, we called in and asked the young lady if she could help us, no problem she said, call back in the morning, so next morning we went back to find the most beautiful flowers that she made for us, so massive thank you for all your help, we can't thank you enough, and to end this, the wedding went fantastically well.

Fantastic experience: I ordered a mid range bouquet as a gift delivered and I was more than satisfied with the product. The prices may seem steeper for some of the entry level bouquets in comparison to some other florists, stores or online however you're getting that extra effort and expertise when it comes to your order and it's arrangement. This goes a long way and your family/friends with a keen eye will definitely be able to tell the difference. They also arrive in a great condition which isn't usually the case with other florists and retailers. Would definitely recommend this local family run business.

Fantastic experience: I ordered a thank you bouquet and chocolates to be delivered to a local business as a thank you gift. The staff at Richards went above and beyond to help me, going out of their way to go to their local shops to source the chocolates for me to make sure my order was fulfilled perfectly. I do not have a photo as we are based around 4 hours away so requested delivery, but I do not doubt the bouquet was lovely. Amazing customer service, thank you for all of your help.

Negative experience: My family visited this florist after recommendation from Jennings, the Funeral Parlour. My Auntie and Cousin opted to do our Nans flowers themselves, not to save money, but to be even more involved in the process for our dear Nan. We were treated like absolute idiots by who we assume was the owner of this shop. We were told that people like us are taking business away from florists, which is absolutely ludicrous. We were told we are amateurs! (Of course we are). We ended up using another local florist who were extremely helpful and considerate. We will certainly never return to Richards. I've attached a photo of what my Auntie and Cousin made, not so amateur after all! Thanks to advice from another florist who provided all the flowers we required, the Oasis and even the trays!

Negative experience: Bought a bunch for about £20 last year and honestly felt so disappointed. A bunch of cheap flowers and foliage,I felt embarrassed gifting them, and so disheartened a well known local florist could rip me off like this. I could have got a better bunch for the price from my local sainsburys. Am I missing something considering all the 4*+ reviews? I thought about returning them but they should know better. I will sadly never be using them again

Negative experience: Would never go there again went last minute for looking flower for someone to say goodbye and told them struggled to find good ones. So thought will have something nice there yet not fresh flowers at all only couple been put on the bouquet and charged so much. Nothing to the price wasted money and no one liked it. Really put me off as was special thing at work. £5 flowers even would be better than what I pay them and what I got was not happy at all so will never use them so not recommending at all. Better to get from supermarket in stead.

Fantastic experience: Ordered a bouquet for mother's Day. They arrived on my chosen day, were good quality and filled the vase. Not much more to ask for when buying flowers long distance online. If the website stated the number of blooms it would be an improvement to ensure quality matches expectation of the photo as I'm sure the Genista was less than expected. I am however not disappointed and would certainly buy again.

Negative experience: I cannot comment on the quality of floral arrangements as we never made it that far but we have had a very disappointing experience with Richards Floral Design. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic our wedding was on, off and then on again at the last minute so this understandably led to many changes with our wedding plans, including the floral arrangements and what we required from our florist. Two days before our wedding my wife called Richards Floral Design to confirm arrangements and finalise payment. The lady on the phone told us that we had missed a payment deadline from a few days previous and that the flowers were not confirmed. My wife was understandably upset at this moment but the lady would not help her and simply said 'I am dealing with funeral flowers and will have to call you later'. When pressed on whether our flowers could be arranged in time she only said 'we MIGHT be able to arrange something'. This meant that we had to go and find another florist at the last minute which was a stressful situation to be in. As it transpires, we did miss a confirmation email from the company and accept this, but the company made no other attempts to contact us after this confirmation email was sent and this led to a mad dash for us to find flowers for our wedding. In conversations since I have found one owner of the company to be extremely rude (the same person who spoke with my wife before the wedding) and whilst the other owner is cordial and professional, she has refused to refund the deposit that we paid. Considering the chaos around Covid, the situation regarding the wedding and the fact that the company did not contact us for payment other than in a solitary long email that could easily have been missed or not arrived at all, I find this to be extremely disappointing.

Fantastic experience: Ordered late on Friday night online and I requested a Monday delivery, even though the webpage said Wednesday delivery because of Covid 19.I put a request in the comments box for Monday and Neutral flowers and they did exactly that. Very happy and would use them again. The main thing was the recipient was delighted too x

Fantastic experience: We used Richards Floral Design for our wedding flowers and décor in November 2019 - and we absolutely loved them! We gave them our ideas and left the rest up to them, we had total faith in them to make our venue look stunning and we certainly weren't disappointed. All the flowers were beautifully arranged, fresh and exactly what we asked for. We also hired glass centre pieces, candles and the gorgeous archway which were all set up for us by Vick and Jess so we didn't have to lift a finger. A special mention for my AMAZING bouquet which I absolutely loved and is one of my favourite things about the whole day! I was actually disappointed to go on honeymoon and leave it behind! Fantastic experience: Lovely store and the twins Jess and Vicky are lovely girls , have been using them for years , always great friendly service and their arrangements are always the best , from bouquets to funerals arrangements , they’ve always gone above and beyond and their pricing is good too, so when my sister was getting married I insisted she use the girls , We didn’t even look elsewhere (why would we) anyway the flowers for the wedding we’re amazing , and lasted for weeks after. I only wish the girls were there when I got married 9 years ago cos my wedding flowers were way over priced and not even half as good as my sisters! Fantastic experience: The two girls who run this shop are amazing, hardworking, and I've always had excellent service from them, whether it was with any bouquets I've ordered to be sent, (which have been of an excellent standard), or anything I've gone into the shop to buy. Nothing is too much trouble, for example, when I couldn't get a "congratulations" balloon for my daughter, who had passed all her hairdressing exams, they made their own design onto the balloon with special paint and glitter. Another time, they sifted through their entire stock of heart shaped plaques, to try and find two with matching loving phrases on. Anyone else would have got impatient, but they were just so patient and helpful !! They are friendly too, and are always a pleasure to pop in and visit.! They are only young and really deserve for their business to take off, and I hope it does for them. Its a lovely shop to go and visit, and look at the lovely range of flowers, ornaments, and hanging plaques ,and it certainly deserves for them to be successful !

Fantastic experience: Victoria and Jess at Richards floral design are amazing! They were able to bring the rustic country wedding we envisioned to life. My flowers were beyond perfect (people are still talking about them now). When I saw the finished product on my wedding day, I was filled with the happiest of emotions. The bouquets, centrepieces, button holes and arrangements for mother’s of the bride and groom were made with an immense amount of talent and love. They even used flowers to decorate my cake for me! Professional, organised and accommodating individuals. They exceeded all expectations. Planning a wedding was one the best but stressful moments I’ve had but it was so nice having someone I knew I could count on throughout the whole process. Fantastic experience: Absolutely stunning flowers. Once again I was blown away with my valentines flowers, the roses were still fresh a week later and smelt so good! Always found the staff friendly, helpful and polite. Nothing is too much trouble, can see why this shop is so popular. Will be using for my children’s end of year gifts again which we have done for the last three years!

Negative experience: Expensive, sparse dead flower rip-off. Three sprigs of asters and two wilting roses with brown curled outer petals which had been cut to within an inch of their life: £25.00 collected at 2pm for funeral at 4pm. A total embarrassment at the graveside. At an upsetting time and no time at that time to discuss the problem, a few days later I did pop in the shop to explain my disappointment only to be ostracised and belittled by the two young women there. Credit to the younger girl who listened and tried to put things right however, the older girl refused point blank to offer a partial refund, she became extremely rude and resorted to shouting to over talk me. I explained that we like to support local business but she obviously didn’t care about that. No RESPECT, no customer relations skills, no understanding on the value of local customers. In frustration of the way that I have been shouted at I am now here leaving a review. I am not alone in the way I have been treated as I note that there is another review here with the exact same problem and I shall be taking any response with a pinch of Maldon salt. Incensed by a wilting bunch of nothing coupled with a disrespectful attitude, bad manners, argumentative attitude and an inability to compromise I said that I would leave a review as I exited towards the door. The older girl had the last say: “fill your boots”. Oh dear. My advice is go to the local co-op or Tesco, because there, you’ll get three huge sprays of fresh lilies for a fiver AND a pleasant transaction. BTW I have left one star as there is no option on Google for ZERO* or -0

Fantastic experience: We used Richards Flowers for the arrangements for my dad funeral. The service we received was perfect and the staff were really knowledgeable and empathetic. The displays we ordered were not of standard colours especially as my niece and nephew picked their own colour scheme. But the flowers arrangements were beautiful and perfect as you can see.
