Negative experience: You do not get what you asked for only what you’re told

Hi, we are concerned to read this review as we have not received any complaints regarding the service or flowers, perhaps this should have been raised at the time of purchase rather than online, and it’s a more professional approach to rectify this.

Stock is also subject to availability.

While we always welcome feedback, it would have been more ideal to contact the store and specifically raise your concerns with us. The information provided here is extremely limited and we are unable to rectify anything without further information.

Negative experience: Really unhappy with their service. I ordered three wrist corsages for my daughters graduation, they asked for inspiration photos (which I have attached below). When I picked them up there was a single rose on a plastic wrist strap, no ribbons, no filler and charged $135. I have attached what they gave us below. This is really disappointing, and if they were not able to do the service they should have just said they couldn't.

I do apologise you're not happy.
As discussed on the phone, the order was placed 20th November with a request for all three corsages to be made for 21st Nov 2025. The colours you specified (pale/pink) were followed exactly, and no specific "design" , size, or fuller
corsage structure was requested or quoted. Your messages confirm this.
The photos provided were used as inspiration only which was stated, not a request for replication.
Larger corsages with filler, ribbon, artificial components, and specific wrist mechanics require different construction and higher pricing, and were not requested this was confirmed via text message with our staff member!

To be factual here it was not you whom collected the order, it was your friend she had arrived around 2:30pm 21st November, and this is when any concerns should be raised so the florist can adjust them immediately. At collection, the items were accepted. The corsages were collected at approximately 2:30pm by another person on your behalf, and they confirmed collection without raising any concerns. Again You then messaged at 2:59pm stating that you had picked them up, although you were not present at the time. As concerns were not raised upon collection, the florist did not have the opportunity to address them while you were here.

We also note that any concerns should be directed to the business landline which is the number you initially contacted when placing the order.
Contacting the store directly, and being present at the time of collection, allows the florist to immediately resolve any concerns on the spot.
When you contacted us via text, we immediately offered to rectify the issue, and the florist was prepared to make adjustments at no extra charge as soon as the corsages were returned in person.
You were offered the opportunity to return on the day, but you declined.

Another reason why ordering on time and collecting earlier is important is because it gives both the florist and the customer the opportunity to make adjustments if needed. Corsages are made on the day they are collected to ensure freshness, but planning, sourcing specific materials, and selecting exact mechanics require a minimum of 2 days' notice. Time spent planning and constructing each individual corsage is a major component of the final price. It is not only the cost of flowers - it is the labour, design work, and construction required to build each piece so it holds and lasts properly, artificial flowers alone are easier to sit and will hold better in comparison to fresh flowers again we were happy to adjust this but you stated you didn't have time. I'm disappointed myself because we would want you to be happy but it would be best had you come in and organized this and if you weren't satisfied then this would have been appropriately arranged.

Under consumer law, refunds do not apply to custom-made products where:

- the items were made according to the instructions provided an

- the customer (or their representative/friend) accepted the product at time of collection when it is necessary to dispute any changes required if unsatisfied

- the business offered a reasonable solution (alteration), and the customer declined to return the product for assessment.

On this basis, a refund will not be issued. The appropriate resolution available is review and alteration once all three corsages are returned directly to the florist on the day you required them which was 21st November.

In future with any florist business, we strongly recommend planning ahead, selecting a specific design in person rather than contacting us so that we can be clear on everything face to face, and allowing time before the event to approve the look. This ensures both the florist and the customer have a confirmed agreement with no room for misunderstanding or interpretation and a happy outcome for both parties.

Fantastic experience: The flower house is such an amazing florist, I would not even consider using another one in Geelong as the flower house always goes above and beyond for me when I either order or drop in to the store. The staff are extremely lovely and always like a chat. If you want a High quality product and service then look no further than The Flower House.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend The Flower House anymore, their flowers and service are incredible. I ordered flowers based off a photo I found and they matched my request right to the last detail even going out of their way to make sure the vases matched my request. They were also kind and considerate as these flowers are for my grandmothers funeral. 10/10 experience, service and flowers. Negative experience: worst experience ever. Customer service was not acceptable and the most unprofessional staff members. Went in today and asked for a custom made WHITE roses. First Lady told us it’s silly and could not understand anything. The owner I believe made them how she would’ve like them with RED roses which we never asked for. We waited for more than 40 minutes the owner comes out yelling something along the lines of “ I’m not going to change them for you anymore I don’t care if you like them or not “ we told her that’s not how you treat your costumers even though she wasted 40 minutes of our time she had the audacity to make them wrong and come out with a behaviour like that. Unbelievable, won’t be going back.

Fantastic experience: There's usually a reason why we write reviews and give 5 stars to business's and these guys deserve a review and 5 stars from me. Last year I ordered some flowers for my wife for valentine's day and they didn't disappoint,so I returned for the same reason this year. Once again they exceeded my expectations and a very happy wife was delighted with her flowers. Nice range of beautiful fresh flowers,friendly staff and reasonably priced will keep me coming back for many more valentine's days(happy wife,happy life). Negative experience: Be careful you actually get what you ask for/paid for! Don't know how 'a bunch of red roses with black wrapping' turns into a white box of peach roses. Called to give them a chance to explain, turns out it wasn't an accident they just 'ran out' and instead of calling me, decided to make something MUCH cheaper because they 'thought I'd like it anyway'. If I could give zero stars I would because this father's day gift would've better suited your nan who just had surgery.

Fantastic experience: Just wanted to say a huge thank you to the Flower House for the below arrangement you made for our mum's Funeral. The flowers and the way it was arranged was absolutely stunning and our mum would have loved it. After the funeral the bouquet was taken back to the aged care home where mum lived so the other residents could also see what a beautiful bouquet is was. Negative experience: I was absolutely appalled by the customer service. I purchased a birthday balloon and the next day it was completely deflated. I couldn't go back the following day due to them being closed for Easter. When they were opened and I tried to explain what happened to the lady but she was so rude and didn't want to listen saying that I should have come back the next day which obviously I couldn't. I had taken a video so I could show her but she refused to see it! I am disgusted by this behaviour and will not be returning back.

Negative experience: Disappointed beyond words at the arrangement purchased for my best friends birthday. 40 (long stem) they were cut, roses. Day 2 they are soft, wilted and brown on the edges. Upon calling to complain can only say my call was a complete waste of time. So very very upset. She only turns 40 once !!!!!

Negative experience: Ordered flowers on Monday for THURSDAY they got delivered on WENDESDAY!! When I called to see what happened and why the early delivery, she told me I had told them they were right and I was wrong.. When they finally checked their paperwork they proceeded to laugh and say sorry they stuffed up while still LAUGHING like WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS LAUGHS AT YOU FOR THEIR PROBLEM! Negative experience: Ruined my wedding flowers, completely different to what I had ordered (not the right flowers or even colors to what I had chosen) Offered no apology, and was quite rude on the phone when I tried to sort the problem, was told "it's the suppliers fault" (i was never contacted to say what I ordered couldnt be supplied or to let me know of the change) and theres nothing she can do to fix it now, being a few hours before the wedding. DO NOT RELY ON FOR IMPORTANT FLOWERS.
