Fantastic experience: Smooth experience overall — prompt service, respectful, and a stunning catalog of options.

Negative experience: I wanted to write this review a couple of weeks ago when I attended a diy perfume class with my friend. I was excited about the whole idea of doing my perfume. When we got there, parking was horrible, there was no parking. The entrance is in the back even if the address was kingsway, it looked very decrepit especially for a flower shop. I thought we were at the wrong address. When you enter its confusing because there are nice flowers but place is messy, the floor is dirty. It didnt look like a flower shop but like a sweat shop, like a factory of some sort. What made it worse was the noise from the staff. They were way to loud like shouting, i think they speak in their own language. I think they speak korean. We were greeted to proceed to our class. I thought the front of the store was already bad, when you go inside to the class area, it seemed like a make shift room. They used dirty curtains to cover up the areas but even those curtains were about to fall from the fake railing. Walking to the washroom there were many hazardous things all over the floor. The washroom was clean, that was the only cleanest area in the whole shop. The diy perfume class. That part was okay, they had lots of scents to work with. I didnt like how the testing bottles were sticky, the bottle stickers were peeling off, some were printed but some were hand written. The instructor was nice ( good thing, that may have been the saving grace). Class was informative. My overall experience is 1 star, the whole environment was disappointing. The shop is dirty, messy, looks like a factory, it was loud with all the staff talking. My friend and I paid for it $88/each and I think we deserve a room or a place that does not look like a sweat shop. I think that's why there's not a lot of review about their class but more on flowers. Really disappointed. Aromatears need to do something about the place. They can't expect people to pay that much for such an ugly space to do class.

Fantastic experience: This flower shop had a wide variety of fresh flowers even on Valentine's Day, so I was able to find a beautiful bouquet. Don't waste your time going elsewhere — just come here!

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience with Aromatears! They created floral arrangements for Simon Fraser University, and I was lucky enough to be able to take some of the flowers home. The quality was absolutely excellent; the flowers were beautiful and lasted a long time. On top of that, the two people I met from the company were beyond kind, generous, and warm. Just genuinely nice people. I’m truly impressed by both their work and their friendliness. Highly recommended!

Positive experience: After searching online for a florists to have flowers delivery we fell upon this one. After navigating through the website and finding something we liked my wife and I just decided to call the shop. Calling from out of province (Ont) and getting all the details worked through the, gentleman (sorry didnt get his name)on the phone made it easy and simple in guiding us with the order. He reassured us that the flowers would be fresh and that the arrangement would look like just as it was in the website. Thumbs up too all involved.

Fantastic experience: My significant other and I did the DIY perfume class for my birthday and we had such a lovely time! Winnie (?) was our instructor for the duration of our class and she was so knowledgeable about how the scents would layer together, as well as how long each one would last. If we had any questions, she answered with such care and so much detail. We felt so comfortable during the whole process and our perfumes ended up smelling great. Winnie was also very kind and gave me a small bouquet for my birthday :)) will definitely be back again in the future!

Negative experience: I picked up the flowers this morning, and they looked fine at the time of pickup. However, within just a few hours, the flowers completely wilted. This is unacceptable and extremely disappointing. The flower bag provided was also far too small. Carrying the bouquet in such a tight bag was inconvenient and caused additional damage to the flowers. I have been a long-time customer and have always been satisfied in the past, which makes this experience even more frustrating. This was not the quality or service I expected at all.

Fantastic experience: A1! I gave a list of scents my husband wears and that I wear, as well as essential oils that I like. They created a custom scent and it is absolutely amazing! I love it he loves it. I am so happy with their ability to create what I wanted. Highly recommend using this company for a custom personalized scent. Thank you so much!

I also observed them serving other customers and they were so accommodating and friendly I was super impressed by them. Their flowers are incredibly reasonably priced and their arrangements are so beautiful. I will definitely be a returning customer!!

Fantastic experience: I took my friend to a perfume workshop here for her birthday and we had such a great experience! It was so fun picking out all our scents and our perfumes were so beautiful with dried flowers in the bottles. The instructor was very informative but relaxed and made the experience really fun. Both of us agreed we would definitely do it again and it was very worth the cost!

Fantastic experience: Came here for their perfume making workshop for my sister’s birthday! Michelle helped us and she was super nice and helpful. We didn’t feel rushed at all and she let us take our time to sniff all the scents and come up with our perfume notes. She also gave us tips of what might go nice together/how to mix the oils to achieve the scent we want. I think they have a good selection of scents where you have a lot of options but it’s also not overwhelming. We had a lot of fun and this was a great first experience! Definitely recommend for a special occasion or as a date activity!

Fantastic experience: I went here for DIY perfume making class with my friends and sister. Chris, the instructor, was super helpful and knowledgeable about fragrances as well as easy to talk to. She guide us what scents what we were looking for, ratio for scents, and little designs that we put inside the perfume bottles. My friends and I really enjoyed our experience. It was something new, fun, and interesting. I highly recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: Michelle from Aromatears helped me throughout my wedding process and was patient and kind to my needs. The flowers from the arch and in all the bouquets and boutonnieres ended up being so beautiful on our wedding day. Michelle was quick on her feet to help my husband change his boutonniere to a fake one as the real flowers wilted from all the hugging! My only comment is to ask for more accurate pricing and estimates for weddings as I think some of the pricing in their brochure might be outdated. Michelle was also nice to offer some flexibility within our price range, but it was quite last minute to our wedding and that should've been an earlier conversation. Nevertheless, I'd still recommend Aromatears for weddings and am getting my beautiful bouquet preserved!

Negative experience: My family, friends and I have ordered consistently from Aromatears for birthdays, graduations and other special occasions over the last 4 years but I’ve been disappointed with the quality of their fresh flowers as of late. Specifically this bouquet, my partner got for my birthday and we noticed the flowers were not very fresh and the first two photos is what some of them looked like (wilted) only after 2-3 days even after changing the water daily. This happened with a bouquet from Valentine’s Day, but we were hoping it was a one-off thing, but it doesn’t seem to be. The packaging and wrapping is always beautiful but we are sad that the flowers did not fully last even a week, considering the price of the bouquet and we will not be ordering fresh bouquets from them in the future. I would probably still recommend their soap bouquets but be mindful when considering their fresh flowers!

Positive experience: Walked in to get a last minute bouquet and they had two options for $85 each. Probably better to order ahead instead. It was a bit hard to find because they entrance isn't on Kingsway.

Fantastic experience: Great experience with DIY perfume class. Instructor made it easy and simple to create your unique scent. Made Great effort to fit my preferred time in. Kinda messed up the proportions of oils but still turned out smelling nice.

Negative experience: Th floral bouquet was beautiful. But they do not send a confirmation email to say when your order has been delivered. When I called it seemed they said it was out for delivery when it should have been delivered the day prior. When that was said, they changed the response to day it was delivered the day prior as originally planned. They should get it together since I was across the country and worried that it was not received and having a confirmation would have gone a long way or be reimbursed it the item was delivered after the arranged date.

Fantastic experience: I ordered online and received a bouquet of soap flowers which some petals were ripped. They instantly made a new one and delivered it to me . Great customer service and how they handled the situation. I would be a returning customer here. Thank you aromatears.

Negative experience: Was a bit disappointed with the quality of roses I got as a gift for a friend. Found them to be yellowish and not so fresh looking. They were wrapped really nicely tho.

Fantastic experience: Took a class with girlfriends for bouquet arrangements and it was very fun and informative! You learn about different types of flowers used in arrangements, how to arrange them, and wrap them beautifully.

Fantastic experience: I ordered a few bouquets for a baby shower and had them delivered to Richmond. The bouquets were delivered as specified and were very beautiful!

Negative experience: This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a florist. We placed an online order for pickup between 5–6 PM, yet when we arrived at 6:10 PM, we were asked to wait another 15 minutes. This delay made us late for my birthday reservation. However, the real issue was that I specifically ordered a black bow for the wrapping, but instead received a beige one. I had planned a black-and-white theme for my celebration and wanted to take photos, so this completely ruined my vision. At that point, I wondered—what’s the point of an online ordering system if the details aren’t followed? I could have gone to any florist, given them my request in person, and gotten what I wanted faster. To make matters worse, as soon as we entered the restaurant, the bottom of the flower bag broke, spilling water all over my legs and the restaurant floor. It was a complete disaster.

Fantastic experience: We had a perfume workshop with Aromatears and it was so much fun to mix and match for different combinations! Chris is also very patient and helpful in guiding us through the process. Would highly recommend and look forward to be back for different workshops!

Fantastic experience: The girl at the front desk was very friendly. Their flowers were neat, beautiful and very cheap compared to the market price. Besides, they also have a class to make homemade perfume and some available perfumes, I really like the Merry Me scent. It was so nice to find this place to buy flowers for my mother on International Women's Day. Everything was perfect, I will definitely come back.

Positive experience: Great service, loved the lady that did the session. I had a great time. So many different scents that make you melt away. My only critique is the interior needs work as the class basically takes place in what looks like a storage space. The glass door is broken and off the hinge and can likely hurt someone.

Negative experience: Their fresh flowers aren't very fresh. Especially the roses. Don't smell like anything and petals are ripped and look 4-5 days old.

Fantastic experience: What a fun experience ! I've never DIYed a perfume before and I learned so much when I went last sunday with one of my best friends to gift her this perfume making session ! Chris was AMAZINGLY patient, has a very good nose and understands right away the energy/vibe we wanna go for. She's very very good at her job and her advice is always on point because we are really satisfied with the results + our perfumes look super cute ! We were really helped all the way to the end of the process but still had our alone times to figure things out, think and modify if needed be. Thank you Chris !!

Fantastic experience: Eight of us, 7 ladies and 1 gentleman from work had a great time at the Wreath DIY workshop. Trang and Trista were really passionate about making us proud of our wreaths to take home. Trang and Trista provided hands on help and advice all the way through and helped us took great pictures of the memorial moments. It was a very memorable event for all of us! Fantastic experience: Really great experience for perfume making and the pricing is very fair - you are paying for the experience and customization of creating a personal fragrance. I would recommend participants have some base knowledge of fragrance theory, as that will help curate a lasting and complex scent. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, didn't rush our group and gave tips when we needed assistance. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Brought my niece here who was visiting from Ontario, we had a great experience doing the DIY perfume class. The end product absolutely smelled amazing and I’ve sprayed and used it a lot since then. It was worth every penny! The class was well organized, the place was clean and the instructor was also knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: We came here for our friend’s bachelorette party and it was so much fun! We each picked a perfume and or Defuser, and can decorate the bottle with flowers. Great bonding activity with your own personal scent to take home and use for a long time. There are so many scents to choose from too, and can do a combination of your choice. First time making perfume and it was worth it and cheaper than buying one in store that you really like.
