Fantastic experience: We loved working with Narcissus for our late December elopement. Their floral arrangements were absolutlystunning, and they delivered them straight to our door that morning by a very kind staff member. As we were marrying from out of the country, the ease with which we were able to get our florals chosen and delivered was invaluable. They are fairly priced, organized and have a real eye for color and texture. For the color schemes, we chose an “Islay” bridal bouquet and “Iona” buttonholes, combs and bridespeople bouquets. Fantastic experience: I attended a floral display workshop with Narcissus on Thursday at The Biscuit Factory. The venue was really cool, Dagmara & Fiona who hosted the class were so knowledgable and friendly and encouraging, answering questions and guiding us throughout, and showing us how to display them as part of a table setting and with bud vases. It was just a very relaxing atmosphere & myself & my friend felt very looked after. I'm so pleased with how my display turned out. I had also ordered 2 bouquets they brought along for me on the day which are just stunning!!! Couldn't be more impressed.

Fantastic experience: The best place with flowers in Edinburgh! I ordered by phone a bouquet for a friend some time ago. You see, I'm from Poland so I didn't know - do they take an order from unknown person with strange accent or just ignore me. But lady on the phone was lovely and very helpful, and she took my order. I've been wainting for a while to check how bouquet will be look like after few days. I was not disappointed - flowers stayed nice and fresh for whole week. Even after few day my friend could take out the old parts and refesh "Absolutly Vintage" composition. Thanks!

Their service, from making an inquiry in store to communicating with us and suggesting the best flowers for our theme was absolutely outstanding. Fantastic experience: Narcissus provided the flowers for our Wedding on 23rd October 2021 and we couldn't be happier with the service they gave us. We found them reasonably late but they were more than willing to accommodate us. All communication was done via email + Zoom calls, but they could not have been more attentive. They really listened to us and completely captured the ideas we had in mind. More than willing to make adjustments too. The end result was simply beautiful bouquets, button holes and pedestal arrangements. Thank you so much Narcissus!

Fantastic experience: Narcissus created the flowers for our wedding on the 25th of September 2021. The customer service we experienced was excellent, frequent communication throughout the planning phase and lead up to the wedding. Fiona Hay is so talented. Our flowers were so beautiful and unique. All of our flowers (from bouquets to the bud vases at top table) complimented our theme in a very artistic, creative way. All of our guests complimented the beautiful flowers. Cannot recommend Narcissus enough.

The team were a pleasure to work with throughout (and including 2 postponements!). The flower arch, bouquets and buttonholes were all beautiful, as well as a flower comb for my hair, which I received many compliments on!

Fantastic experience: Fiona from Narcissus did our wedding flowers and I cannot recommend them enough! I only had a vague idea of what I wanted, and I felt like Fiona listened to that so carefully and turned those vague descriptions into the most beautiful bouquets and arrangements I could possibly have imagined! I was over the moon with the flowers. Because of Covid, our plans changed a few times, but they were always so flexible and prompt at replying. A very reasonable price for what they offer, and just lovely people to work with. Thank you so much!

Negative experience: I had a really poor customer experience. I phoned the shop the night before, but was diverted to a different premises and told they couldn't help me with my order as the shop had closed early that afternoon. They told me to go in at 830am the following morning and they would sort out my flowers. I went at 830am, to find the shop didn't actually open until 9am. I hung around and waited until 9am, but when I spoke to the two ladies they couldn't have been more unhelpful. They talked to me like an actual customer was a massive inconvenience. I said I'd like to buy flowers and they said I'd have to come back in an hour. Safe to say they'll have to wait longer than an hour before they ever receive any of my money. AVOID! I went to Garlands on Leith Walk instead and they were super helpful and friendly.

Fantastic experience: I used the team for my Wedding the start of Dec 20 after being recommended by a friend who had used them to send a gift to her friend. We had an initial conversation with the team back in Jan to go through what types of bouquets and arrangements they could do. We actually selected the urns from seeing an arrangement in the store they were doing for another customer. COVID then happened which obviously had an impact on the day and the order but we kept in touch and they were happy go through our order and cancel what wasn't needed. Fiona especially was helpful and had a chat with me on the phone to check through details etc before the day. The team set up everything for us and it was lovely meeting Fiona who helped deliver our flowers to my room too. Everyone commented on how beautiful the colours were in the Bouquets, Urns and Flower gifts for the Mums. We carted it all back home and my house smelt lovely and was a lovely addition to my kitchen and Dining room. Definitely would recommend using Narcissus and a special thanks to the Fiona and the team for all their help

Fantastic experience: I wanted to cheer up my sister and ordered a bouquet during lockdown. The flowers were beautiful, they lasted very long and they were personally delivered. Very satisfied

Negative experience: This is a long review and there are other examples I could provide but will cover the main points on why it’s best to completely avoid this florist and why I would absolutely not recommend them to any future bride looking for a wedding service. I wouldn’t even give one star. • Lack of consistency of service from start to finish; we discussed and signed an agreement with a member of staff months in advance only to be told a few weeks before the date most florals were not in fact available to us and never heard from original staff member again. When agreeing alternatives, they refused to list anything in agreement and of course they knew it was too late for me to go elsewhere • Just so you are aware: the contract you sign means absolutely nothing and guaranteed you will not get what you are looking for or anything which was agreed; most flowers were not used and greenery stated not used at all, therefore brief and style were completely different to what I envisioned and discussed at length • You will waste a lot of time and energy communicating and trying to ensure you end up with the right result only to be disappointed, despite reassurance all will be fine and thinking the message has gotten through. In my case the night before wedding (when my husband collected the bouquet and buttonholes) and then on my actual wedding day with the installation • Staff are indifferent to what you really want and frankly feel they have creative freedom to produce whatever they wish and what they think you should get; in my case the installation was clearly made up of what they had left in the store and were not the quality I expected – even the florals which were in season like the dahlias (small and insignificant) • Quality of product is very poor: the arch installation was wilting and most elements of it were already dying. Most not kept watered and most not cut and prepped correctly. My ‘archway’ was built around a pole on either side in a lump of concrete – it looked like it had been taken from a dump. Packed out with mostly foliage (not in the agreement) and very little blooms at all. Colour scheme not adhered to including orange berries, different tones of green and bags of eucalyptus not the fluffy asparagus ferns, large dark plum and ivory dahlias, anemones, dark berries etc I was looking for. Hellebores were provided in the end, but they were invisible, tiny and poor quality; in contrast at the garden centre last weekend huge selection of Hellebores – beautiful and large. Flower preservation company who I have used before couldn’t use any of my bouquet (the bits I liked) I sent them they were in such bad condition. • Customer service very poor and staff completely unaware of how they make their customers feel: Paying £200 for delivery and pick up the next day - they called me on my honeymoon asking when someone would be taking the arch back (I had tried to use some at home but only managed a couple of vases in the end due to poor quality). The night before my wedding and the morning of my wedding was spent going back and forth to at least get the bouquet a little more towards what it should have been: brief was a tumbling bouquet over hands, medium in size, with all greenery stated fluffy texture with colour scheme of muted green dark berry populous, ivory and plum blooms – it didn’t meet this. Buttonholes were to have thistle but instead a large pink flower. I was in tears the night before. A couple of family members I told were shocked and equally when they saw the result. No compliments from anyone in attendance and unsurprisingly it wasn’t being advertised on their Instagram account which would have you believe they provide the best… 'Narcissus by name, narcissists by nature.' The only vendor for my wedding which disappointed. I am sure Erin or someone similar will have a nicely prepped paragraph on how 'accommodating' they are and how they are the best there is and how they pride themselves on their expertise and what they do – I would steer clear! You have been warned.

Fantastic experience: I placed an order from the U.S. to be delivered to my daughter who lives in Edinburgh. They were delivered in less than 2 hours and were absolutely stunning!! The arrangement was unique, of high quality and very large! I would definitely order from them again!! Great job!! She loved them!!

Fantastic experience: I went yesterday to this flower shop with a last minute request for a flower bouquet and the lady in the shop was lovely she helped us choosing the best flowers and created in little over an hour a gorgeous boquet. I could not have been happier with the result. My sister that got married in the afternoon also loved the bouquet that was matching perfectly her dress. I highly recommend this place.

Really lovely and healthy potted plants, freshly cut wonderful bouquets, some rare kind of bonsai trees and many other gardening stuff you can find there along with helpfull advice and lovely atmosphere. Florist design courses run there. Green paradise. Feast for your eyes. Peace for your soul.

Fantastic experience: I ordered some flowers during lockdown for my wedding anniversary. The service I received was excellent but the flowers were absolutely stunning. They followed by brief and created a wonderful bouquet. My wife's reaction was 'Wow, oh wow'. Every time we look at the bouquet we find something new. The photo doesn't do them justice.

Fantastic experience: I'm not normally one for posting reviews but I genuinely can't praise Narcissus enough. I ordered flowers last week for my wifes birthday however they weren't delivered on time before she left work. They offered to deliver these directly to my house later that night along with a box of chocolates to say sorry. I decided against it and cancelled the order instead! However they went above and beyond and re-delivered the flowers the next morning with a hand written apology note, free of charge. Things go wrong but I cannot fault them for how the reacted and that was certainly a bigger surprise and made her birthday! I've ordered a few times and the flowers are always amazing! Will definitely be ordering again!!

Fantastic experience: I discovered Narcissus Flowers on Instagram when choosing vendors for my wedding. I immediately was blown away by the beauty of their work- it's like no florist I've ever seen in the US. I love that they are a local small business and every time I see a post from them I immediately get "heart eyes." I wish I could visit their shop in person because it looks breathtaking, and I'd also love to take some of their beginning classes in floristry. Fiona was our florist for our wedding, and I will mostly just let the photos of her work speak for themselves. Absolutely breathtaking. I requested a colorful bouquet with a lot of texture, scottish thistle boutonnieres, lantern centerpieces, and a beautiful flower shop style setting for our ceremony. Fiona delivered and then some. I think flowers in the UK are just better and of more variety than in the US, and the eye for floral artistry is just infinitely better. I showed Fiona a photo of a tropical bouquet (my original wedding was tropical.. it's a long story) that was my dream bouquet. It had a lot of color and some beautiful trailing ribbons. Fiona ordered the most amazing hand-dyed silk ribbons from Heirloom Silk Ribbons.. they added such a wonderful boho touch to my bouquet, and made the bouquet just that much more special. I personally have an obsession with attention to detail, and Fiona's attention to detail was just so incredible. To top it off, there was a mishap with the original geometric terrariums she had planned to use for my centerpiece, and while I was completely fine with the suggested changes, she went over the top and made even larger, more extravagant centerpieces for me to make up for it. Oh my gosh.. they were just so stunning. I originally was going to go minimal on the flowers because they can be so expensive, but I found even these high end florals from Narcissus to be so affordable and absolutely worth every penny. My husband was skeptical, as a man who doesn't fully understand the draw of flowers.. but when he saw what Narcissus created for us, he knew that every detail and every penny was absolutely worth it and then some. I think in the US, flowers such as these would have been 2 or 3 times the price, and would have come along with some pretty rude service. I cannot recommend Narcissus flowers highly enough. Stunning is the best word I can use to describe Narcissus. They are truly a one-of-a-kind shop, and when I see what they are posting it instantly makes me feel good. That's what flowers should be- they of course don't last forever, but that feeling they give you when you are admiring their beauty is absolutely worth it. Flowers, especially of this high caliber, just bring pure joy and beauty.

Negative experience: Beautiful flowers however I have been here on two occassions and staff are exceptionally rude. They are usually busy yet get angry if you pick the flowers yourself to make your own arrangements. Went to buy flowers for myself after a break up and left in an even worse mood due to their awful customer service.

Negative experience: Never Again! I paid 30 pounds plus delivery costs for a bouquet for my daughter's birthday. We agreed on shades of purple and white. The bouquet was large, it is true, but it was all weeds, thistles and Queen Anne's lace, etc. And 3 white roses. It was a rip off to send weeds for that money! A few thistles, possibly, but there were just too many weeds! A huge bouquet of weeds! I could have done better with flowers from a supermarket.

Fantastic experience: I ordered a bouquet of flowers over the phone to give to my girlfriend after her discharge from a 3 week stay in hospital. I admittedly gave pretty vague instructions over the phone for what I would like and agreed to a number of suggestions that the florist made, trusting their ideas over my own. Unfortunately when I went to collect my flowers that evening I was handed a very pretty and expensive looking bouquet of flowers that, although nice, were more suited to what I would like to give my mum. I knew instantly that I had made a mistake and that my girlfriend wouldn't like them. After paying for, and leaving with the flowers I was so disappointed. after a few minutes of stewing in my car I plucked up the courage to walk back in the store and explain my issue to the lady working there. I explained it was my fault and apologised that they were about to close the shop and asked to buy an additional bunch. THEY WERE SO NICE AND HELPFUL!! The florist apologised for me not liking them, dropped everything and made me up a huge beautiful bunch of my choosing on the spot to replace the ones I had bought. No problem. I will buy flowers exclusively from here for as long as I live in Edinburgh! Oh.. and my girlfriend loved them! Thanks so much guys.

Whoever answered the phone was very friendly and we discussed the seasonal range and also something that reflected Scotland. When my bunches arrived everyone was astounded at the quality and thoughtfulness of the arrangements. I am so impressed by what I received I want everyone one to know about this shop. Fantastic experience: beautiful flowers (I went with florists choice and my specific requests were totally taken into account as far as possible) I wasnt sure that I'd chosen the correct delivery and got in touch to confirm the details with them. They were very quick to reply and super helpful - my mum loved the flowers and I will be using this shop again!

Positive experience: My husband ordered me flowers from narcissus for V day, he asked the lady to put together a luxury bouquet which looks romantic and beautiful! They charged him just around £60 and I got delivered a mothers day bouquet with 6 fresh roses I won't fault the roses but the flowers are next to dying and I was left feeling down whereas I should of been left feeling happy, we normally order from SnapBack dragon So this was a first, I am hoping I can take the flowers back today and get a refund for him as these will serve two days of disappointment and nothing else! ****** my husband complained as did I and Erin corrected my order and added to it to make it extra special, spectacular bouquet full of beautiful fresh roses alongside other flowers, sent within an hour to replace the previous one with a box of hand made chocolates followed by a lovely call! *****

Fantastic experience: Bought a bunch of little purple flowers here for my wife, they lasted at least a few weeks. Only a couple of quid, too.

Fantastic experience: Erin created a custom bouquet that perfectly matched our wedding bouquet based on a photo alone. Several other florists in the region were unable to get close to the arrangement due to the flowers/colours involved. This was arranged at 5pm one day and delivered the following morning. I can't recommend this florist highly enough.

Negative experience: I bought a bunch of flowers here which looked fine while they were in the wrapping. However when my mother put them in a vase, it turned out that the majority of the contents was just stalks not containing any flowers, about 60% of the contents went in the garden waste. I wouldn't use this shop again.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful plants and friendly service

Positive experience: Mixed experience here - received flowers from here several times from well meaning guests but whilst the bouquets are gorgeous and quirky, I have found they don't last long (and know they are incredibly expensive). Have picked up a few 'free to a good home' plants that had flowered and nursed them back to something like health so points for narcissus recycling plants!
