Breen's Florist

Positive experience: At the end of January I ordered two orders of arrangements, one for an anniversary, another for the upcoming Valentine's day. The anniversary arrangement was beautiful. I picked them up instead of having them delivered. I scheduled the Valentine's day arrangement to arrive 2/13 so my girlfriend could enjoy them at her desk at work. My girlfriend works a hybrid schedule, but I told her I had something delivered to her workplace so she went into work for the delivery, even though she was originally planning on working from home. The delivery never came to her work. I thought they would get delivered that afternoon and we could just go pick them up later. I never heard anything about the status of the delivery from Breen until almost 8 pm saying the flowers were not able to be delivered. The email that was sent to me said they would try to coordinate with my girlfriend for the delivery attempt. It wasn't until Valentine's night that I lost hope that the $150 arrangement was going to arrive. I called Breen and was left with a voicemail saying it was after business hours. I left a voicemail. I was called back that evening saying the delivery person quit halfway through their shift and 12 deliveries never got delivered. My arrangement never got delivered. The person on the phone said they would send the flowers that evening. The flowers arrived, but almost after Valentine's day. It killed the mood for something I was excited for to give to my special person. That being said, the flowers were beautiful. I just question if I would have EVER got them had I not reached out about them not being delivered. I understand issues happen, but I at least expect some communication to keep me in the loop when issues do happen.

Positive experience: YMMV. My experience: I picked up a bouquet and vase at the store on Post Oak. Flowers were in surprisingly bad shape. They offered to check if they had another bouquet in the back and returned with something that was definitely better, but given the price ($113 all-in for an in-store pickup), still pretty underwhelming. I left and went to another shop and got something that I was happier with for about half the price.

Fantastic experience: Ordering from their site was simple. I love they allow longer messages for the card. The plant was well priced and beautiful. We appreciate them sending a photo most florist dont. We will be using them in the future.

Fantastic experience: I've had many experiences with Breen's, every one of them excellent. It's easy to order online.They send a photo of my arrangement before it goes out. Their flowers are always gorgeous. Their delivery people are courteous. Great place!

Negative experience: Called to see if they had a particular type of flower (bells of Ireland) for a wedding (we had them ordered previously & they died during shipment unfortunately). The lady asked how many we needed, I was unsure as they are for my best friends wedding however I inquired if she had them available & she said yes. I hung up, called the bride & was then was able to find out we only needed a few of them. I called them back & said I would like to buy the remainder of the ones in stock. The lady on the phone then told me they were not available as she needed them for her own bouquets. I am unsure why she couldn’t have stated that during the first phone call & save the bride the excitement of us finally finding these flowers last minute. I then asked if she would have any available tomorrow & she hung up the phone. She did not have to be rude & condescending however it appears that is the way she chooses to do business. Just a girl trying to help her friend out & the neighborhood florist was 0/10. Thank you for coming to this Ted talk. Would not recommend

Fantastic experience: I live in Dallas and when a friend of mine passed away last week and I wanted to send a floral arrangement to his partner at their home. I chose Breen's Florist and not only did they create a beautiful arrangement but they went above and beyond in delivering the arrangement. I did not have the recipient's phone number so I provided Breen's with my cell. The driver sent a photo showing that no one was home and that they were left on the front door step. I texted back that I was the sender and explained the situation. The driver was so kind to immediately go back to the home and ensure the arrangement was picked up by the family. Breen's management also texted to let me know. Shortly thereafter, I received a message from the beautiful arrangement. I will definitely use Breen's Florist for all my floral needs in Houston. Not only do they create gorgeous arrangements, but their customer service is unparalleled.

Fantastic experience: Design and delivery were fine but I was initially searching for a Woodlands area florist. Bremen’s popped up as “Woodland’s leading florist”. Later found out Breens is located on other side of town on Braeswood? Confusing.

I called Breen’s a week before the wedding gave pretty vague instructions (she wanted “unconventional” flowers) sent an email with some not so great inspiration pics and put myself in their hands. I called and the lady on the phone was so sweet and told me they had 300 orders today. They went back and dropped off the right ones and my mom got to keep both. 10/10 service and my mom said the delivery person was so sweet as well.

Fantastic experience: Breen's Florist did a beautiful job! I ordered a plant late on Tuesday to be delivered Wednesday morning by 9:00 AM. I was unable to attend the funeral so the widow's daughter sent me a picture of what was delivered. It was exactly what I expected. And Breen's delivered it at 8:45 AM. I will definitely be using Breen's again and again!

Negative experience: Update to response: there was no second arrangement received. Even your responses are ridiculous. The photos do not lie and the flowers were returned in less than 24 hours. I received a birthday gift of flowers that contained dead flowers, wilted flowers in a vase of murky water. I contacted the florist who argued that the flowers were not dead . I returned the flowers and was told they would remake the arrangement not create a different arrangement. The remake was a cheap vase that was not a spring bouquet with daisies and roses,. The replacement flowers had a hole in the design and contained some cheap flowers. The staff doesn’t care and the owner was out of town. This place stocks old flowers and will not fill your order as requested. The service is horrible. They ruined my birthday by sending me dead flowers. Go somewhere else as these people don’t care what you get. They send out wilted and dead flowers. Your arrangement arrives dead and any other flowers will not last a day. THERE WAS NO SECOND ARRANGEMENT!!! Please revise your response as once again you are misleading the public!!!!!

Fantastic experience: This is arguably the best florist in Houston! Their flowers and service are outstanding! This is the second time I have had flowers delivered from Breen's and the recipient was blown away by the beauty of arrangement, as well as the quality of the flowers each time. I will only use Breen's from now on!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely perfect. I live 900 miles away, and I chose Breens solely based on reviews, and they did not disappoint. I placed a late afternoon order for a flower arrangement for my grandmother for delivery for the following day. My aunt, my grandmothers daughter, passed unexpectedly the evening before so I wanted to send some flowers for her to have something pretty to look at and smell. My grandmother is 97 and can’t see very well, and that’s what I told Breens, I wanted something bright and very fragrant. After learning of the reason for the flowers the florist said she would do what she could to have them delivered that day, but couldn’t promise anything because of the location of her delivery driver. An hour and a half later the beautiful arrangement was delivered. My grandmother loves them, she can see them and says they smell amazing as well! Thank you so much for everything, for being so caring and empathetic. Should I need a florist in the Deer Park area again, Breens will be my only choice.

I live out of town and felt so lucky to find Breen’s Post Oak location. A staff member named Christy watched for delivery of the vase I sent and then ensured that the design was as I requested. The customer service and attention to details was exceptional. Equally wonderful is receiving a photo of the final design is standard practice for Breen’s. Flowers are expensive and it doesn’t get any better than ordering them from Breen’s.

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience. I ordered a bouquet for my sister’s birthday, who lives in Houston. The arrangement cost me around $100, but when I saw the photo my sister shared with me, I was deeply disappointed. I regret mentioning to the saleswoman that I was calling from Paris, France, as I feel she overcharged me and provided subpar service. I’ll let you judge for yourself the poor quality of the arrangement.

Negative experience: It was a total letdown. The picture advertised one particular arrangement, and what the recipient received was less than adequate. Clearly, it was not what I paid over $100 for on their website. Additionally, I didn't discover the extra $20 delivery charge until checkout. So, no, I won't be ordering flowers from Breen again.

Fantastic experience: I'm so impressed with this florist! Never have I been serviced by a florist like this! Highly imopressed as I ordered online and got a call confirming the order. Then the day of the service received a picture of the spray and then a confirmation email the spray had been deliverd! When I saw the spray in person, the pictures didn't do it justice! The flowers were just beautiful! I highly recommend this florist and will definitley use them again!

My one complaint is that Breen's is not in Orlando (ha-ha) as I am your #1 customer !!!

Fantastic experience: Purchased flower arrangement/delivery from across the country and couldn’t believe the level of customer service that went in to this order. They called me right away to make sure they understood the delivery instructions correctly (which I appreciate 100%) and they fulfilled my order first thing the following morning.
