Fantastic experience: I had a lovely experience at Northern Flower in Manchester! The girls were warm and friendly, especially Amy who helped to create a personalised bouquet for our friend’s 25th birthday. My friend loved her flowers and I’m very grateful to all the girls that provided such a wonderful service. — I highly recommend because of their fresh flowers and amazing service.

Fantastic experience: I ordered a Christmas bouquet for my wife over the weekend and they were delivered on time, very professionally and with courtesy. The communications I received with updates on my order and delivery times were great and extremely helpful and appreciated. The lady who delivered the bouquet yesterday was very professional and courteous. The bouquet arrived on time in perfect condition as ordered online. It goes without saying that my wife really loved and enjoyed her bouquet and found them beautiful. Would highly recommend as an independent local florist in Manchester.

Fantastic experience: I got a beautiful large bouquet for my mum’s birthday and chose the florist’s choice. I was so happy with it, the quality was excellent and the flowers smelled amazing. Ordering online was really easy and the turnaround was quick. It is on the more expensive side, but you’re definitely paying for quality. It also came with a lovely bag, which made carrying the flowers much easier. I’ll definitely be ordering again for special occasions.

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. Walked in to buy a bonsai as a gift and one of the staff told me that it’s a tricky one to care of. Ok, no problem. I’m now curious as to why it’s tricky, what can I do to keep it alive, is there anything else I need to know…typical questions asked with friendliness and curiosity. She didnt give me a straight answer and when I asked for more info, I was dismissively told to “do my own research”. Thanks love. I ended up buying the plant and while it was being wrapped, she was running around the store brushing past me multiple times without even saying excuse me. I get it’s a small shop but, cmon. I don’t normally write reviews but the combination of this behaviour made me feel so unwelcome.

Fantastic experience: I always loved to walk by northern flower when I went to visit Mcr and I knew I wanted them as my wedding florist since I saw their crazy sue. I ordered my bridal party bouquets, flower crowns, and buttonholes and I couldn't be happier. They looked fantastic! I unfortunately couldn't go to visit in person but Daisy was lovely and helpful through email throughout and the flowers turned out even better than I could imagine! They also arrived in these lovely personalised bags which was great as my bridesmaids could carry theirs home to Scotland on the train and all of us are now drying them in hopes to keep them as a memento. Fantastic experience: Bought a beautiful bouquet of flowers on Wednesday for a neighbours birthday. The customer service was brilliant, staff were lovely and the bouquet was made whilst I waited.

Fantastic experience: Sian at Northern Flower did the flowers for my wedding in June, and they were just wonderful. I had one consultation with her where she showed me lots of options, and from that conversation she understood my vision 100%. When I saw my bouquet on my wedding morning I was so pleased! It elevates all of the wedding photos. We also opted to have individual vases with single flowers for the table, and she pulled it off so beautifully!

Negative experience: Very overpriced! I spent £50 including postage for a small bouquet. It was nothing like what was pictured (I understand sizes differ) but even the style, colours, flowers used etc. It included 1 peony, already fully opened and losing petals. 2 other small flower heads and an ugly (or at least acquired taste) anthurium. When I voiced my disappointment they said they use lots of greenery so it “smells nice” & the flowers used are expensive. No voucher code or similar or anything was offered after such a poor experience. There’s much better value florists in Manchester in my experience. Disappointing. :(

Fantastic experience: I did a Bouquet Arrangement Workshop with a friend and it was such a lovely evening - would absolutely recommend it as a gift, celebration or a fun way to spend the evening with friends. There was a small group of us and we were offered Prosecco as we made our Bouquet’s. The staff were lovely, funny and great instructors. We got a lovely selection of flowers to work with and have learnt useful tips to take with us. I had a lot of fun and my flowers look great in my living room!

Fantastic experience: Great experience! Bought my indoor plant for the first time, and the staff were all so nice and friendly. The shop is lovely, has a wide range of plants and flowers, and many vases to choose from. Would love to visit again!

Negative experience: As others have said fungus gnats rife... would not return. Website claims staff are friendly and warm but in my experience they were neither. Sounds like bouquets ok but plants riddled. Wish I had read reviews first.

Negative experience: Bought a terranium and it was a breeding ground for fungus gnats. Now I have them swirling about in my kitchen. Don't be tempted to buy from here as they are quick to take your money, but then wash their hands of your problems.

Negative experience: Went in to get flower food sachets which I had bought there previously couple months back. Paid £1-2 at the time for 10 of them. This time asked for 20 and blonde seller says that’s going to be £10. I was slightly shocked needless to say and told her I’ve recently bought them and they were 10 or 20p max. She replies “to be fair I don’t know their price so I’ve put 50p”. She then took it down to 20p each, then went up to 25p each. I just paid and left but what the hell was that? You’ve just overcharged someone by 5-10x just because. Please correct me if this is your version of a 2month inflation. As a local I will not be coming back… Warning to anyone though that if you come in on a wrong day, you might be overpaying simply because! Go to Ebay instead.

Negative experience: It was my worst experience in buying flower . The wrapping was awful and got open very fast with no reason. And comparing with prices It didn't worth it at all.

Fantastic experience: I recently took my snake plant, Medi, into Northern flower for repotting. The team were extremely friendly and helpful - just look how happy he is now. You couldn't ask for better service and I managed to get hold of a very healthy Philodrendon too. Glad to see this place is still going strong after years away from Manchester.

Fantastic experience: Wish I had got the name of the person who just helped me so I could give her a shout out as she was so helpful. Walked in on a Weds lunchtime in need of a last min gift for a colleague who had kept her birthday quiet. Gave her a budget and she set me up with a gorgeous plant/ pot/ candle/ card combo all beautifully packaged so it would be easy to take home on her commute. Will definitely go back next time I need a gift!

Fantastic experience: We bought a wedding bouquet and groom's buttonhole flower from Northern Flower for our small wedding. Great service from start to finish, quick email replies from Sian, delivery on time straight to the registrar. Bouquet was beautiful and colourful, not bulky, just what I wanted. Price was reasonable. Only slight hitch was the groom's buttonhole flower kept sliding sideways as the pin to hold it in place was maybe not enough to handle the weight of the thistle. But it's not a big deal and we have actually kept it, pressed it and framed it as a keepsake now. Would definitely recommend Northern Flower.

They made a beautiful bouquet that exceeded my expectations and was very well received. They also gave me a call when the bouquet had been delivered which I really appreciated. Will definitely come back to buy flowers again! Update: As I had been so pleased with the flowers I ordered previously, I ordered my bridal bouquet and buttonhole flowers. Sian and the team made a beautiful bouquet that went above and beyond what I could have imagined. The choice of flowers and colours was just gorgeous. Fantastic experience: Ordered some flowers from here to collect the other day, honestly, they were absolutely beautiful and they were very well recieved as well, I work 2 days a week in Manchester so I will most definitely be using yourselves again when I need some flowers locally.

Fantastic experience: Went in today for a last minute Mother’s Day bouquet the staff/florist was very helpful. Asked for the bouquet to be pink and purple themed and she helped me choose some beautiful flowers and roses to add all the while taking my budget of £50 into account.

Fantastic experience: i genuinely think this place cured my depression. was wandering around northern quarter angry at the world because earlier that day i had dropped my grilled cheese on the ground and i felt a hatred towards england because i have never done that before in america. in my ire spiteful mood i was stomping around tib street and stumbled across this haven of flowers and other things. got a thing of lavender because i heard it makes you feel better about your sad life and it worked! for 4 pounds my depression was cured and it has not come back

Fantastic experience: I popped into Northern Flower today on my way to the station. The lady that served me was able to make up a bouquet for me, as the others were a little out of my budget. She made the most beautiful arrangement for my mum, quickly without cutting any details. She was kind, sympathetic and talented. Fantastic experience: I ordered the bouquet online and picked up at the shop. It was larger than I expected (I bought the small one) and as beautiful as the picture online. Also, the shop is decorated lovely.

Negative experience: Got soil from their big containers twice over the past couple of years. Both times we ended up with fungus gnats (the first time we couldn’t figure out the connection for sure, but this time I placed a sticky thing into the soil before putting it away in a box a few months ago, just opened the box and voila - see photo). Makes me wonder if you buy plants from there, are you guaranteed to drag home fungus gnats?

Negative experience: Aesthetic but unfortunately the staff made a joke at my expensive when I went to buy something and they were all gathered around. I thought this was unprofessional and think maybe one of these people was the manager. I was buying an item at the time too. Often female customers are treated less respectfully than men and it’s another example of not being seen with respect due to being a young woman. That’s why I have to relay my experience.

Fantastic experience: I just recently had my wedding flowers from Northern Flower and they were absolutely fantastic. They made the whole room look so special and my bouquet was just beautiful. Definitely recommend!

Negative experience: I Ordered the £55 “Large” Emmeline bouquet, I was disappointed to say the least at the size of it and it only coming with 2 roses. When I called to discuss this with Northern Flowers they were very unhelpful in resolving the matter. I live in London and have had far superior bouquets at that price. To make matters worse the flowers drooped within 48 hours. Sadly I wouldn’t recommend

Negative experience: Ripped off my boyfriend.. he gave a budget and they went over to £40 for a unorganized bouquet worth about £20-£30. Took advantage of him and made the bouquet and then gave the price after, this obviously making any normal human guilty. Do not recommend at all. Go to flourish instead...

Fantastic experience: Called in today on the off chance they had a moss pole for a cheese plant and some all purpose potting soil. That had both items in stock and the member of staff was helpful and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Will definitely shop here again. Little gem in the Northern Quarter.

Fantastic experience: Contacted Northern Flower as oversight left us without flowers at our private wedding party. Was sure they’d say it was too late (4days before the wedding!!). Not only did they go and do a ‘reccie’ of the place but delivered beautiful flowers for us when they were also busy doing Tatton and loads of graduation stuff. Cannot thank them enough. Fantastic experience: came in a week ago asking if they had a plant I needed for a vivarium I’m building for a gargoyle gecko. They didn’t have it but they looked it up for me and ordered some for me! They phoned me once they had it in stock and I picked it up today. Staff are really friendly and go above and beyond for their customers, it’s also a really pretty shop. Will definitely be coming here in the future for my vivarium/terrarium plants and if I ever need a bunch of flowers this place will be my first choice. Thank you guys!

Fantastic experience: Ordered a £30 bouquet to be delivered for my girlfriend. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous, very fresh, and the florist took on my requests really well in terms of colours and specific flower choices. The bouquet arrived the next morning, as promised, and the delivery driver (presumably the florist herself?) was described as "very jolly". Can't recommend enough - great florist for Manchester, will be ordering here again!

Negative experience: Bought some loose soil from here from the bin in the basement and it was absolutely crawling with bugs and pests, now all my plants are infested with the bugs

Negative experience: Called in on way home from work, refused service straight away as I didn't have a mask on, lady on the till wasn't wearing one and lady who refused me as I walked in had it hanging of her face. Shambles.

Fantastic experience: I bought a beautiful bunch of flowers from here during my visit last week. They were fresh, dazzlingly colourful and wonderfully arranged. The lovely staff were very helpful and super nice to me, they even had a tiny little puppy doing zoomies around the shop. The whole experience was joyful and wholesome. Highly recommended!

Negative experience: My partner wanted yellow roses for her best friend's birthday. For £50 she received 2 dying roses, 2 tulips and several twigs. She was able to save it by adding yellow Roses from Marks and Spencers. Never again!!!

Fantastic experience: Came into this lovely shop over a week or so ago with a strange request. I was after a specific plant but I didn’t know the name of the specific plant. I could only describe it to them which I can imagine maybe drove the girls mad! anyway, what happened next was a top-class and highly recommendable service! They got straight onto their buyer and not only did the ladies working at Northern Flower find the ideal plant, they delivered it to my address 4 days later. Truly awesome service. Not only will I be a returning customer, I will recommend this shop to high heaven! Truly commendable service! Especially during a pandemic!

Fantastic experience: A fantastic little florist in NQ! A few months back I came in to select a lot of plants for a space in my shop, I wish I could remember the name of the blonde girl who helped me as she was lovely and she honestly could not have been more helpful to me when I was choosing what would work best in the shady area. We also recently purchased another plant for my boyfriends apartment which is absolutely thriving! The flowers always look beautiful here and I'll definitely be back when to buy some soon. 10/10 all round! :)

Fantastic experience: I was looking for my first house plant for my flat and this beauty caught my eye I am so pleased with my purchase and I can’t wait to fill my flat with plenty more. I was strolling through the northern quarter, spotted the wonderful florist, was greeted by lovely staff and within minutes I had my little plant! I’ll be back for sure
