The shop was about to close, but after explaining this was a last minute gift for the following day, Debbie invited me in to let me browse the shop and then arranged the dried flowers I’d selected. The service was above and beyond, and for someone (me) who prefers a quick and easy shopping experience, this was perfect. Fuss free and everything (and more) I’d hoped for. Negative experience: Had a great day Christmas shopping with my 6 year old daughter in all the other lovely shops on division street with polite staff and a welcoming experience, till i entered Moonko. Despite wearing the lanyard, women that worked here questioned me infront of everyone in the shop about where mine and my 6 year old daughters mask was before telling us to leave with a very patronising tone and so condescending and a fake smile on her face. Not a good experience, couldn't wait to get out. The women that worked here continued to patronise and look down us telling us follow the shop round and exit whilst grinning and staring at us. I didn't say a word back to her as i was in shock and angry. It was a horrible experience and to think i was about to buy some jewellary and flowers from there, which everyone already said is over priced (i appreciate independent shops and will support them) never will i this one again.

Fantastic experience: Lovely little shop selling some beautiful goods! The shop always looks so amazing and the products are all so nice, especially the handmade dried flower bouquets. It's one of my favourite places to go in Sheffield and the owner is so so lovely! Super nice and knowledgeable, and always happy to have a chat.

Fantastic experience: I don't think I could love a shop more than I love Moonko! Every time I visit, it's such a lovely experience. It really feels like a little oasis in the middle of the city! Debbie is so knowledgeable and always takes the time to chat with you, and makes sure you know all you need to know to care for your new plant (she's also easily available on Instagram for follow up advice). The prints are gorgeous, and the soaps smell divine (personally, I recommend the sandalwood and patchouli, the scent lasts for days) ✨

Fantastic experience: I have been visiting this shop for years and I absolutely love it and everything I have bought from here! First discovered when I was at University in Sheff many years ago, bought several bits of jewellery from here which I still own now. It’s become a bit of a tradition to pop in whenever we are in Sheffield now to purchase some earrings or a necklace as it’s such a lovely independent shop which I’m proud to support. My husband even popped in on the weekend of his stag do (visiting from York) to buy me a little bracelet as a reminder of our time together in Sheffield. Lady who owns the shop always lovely, would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: We love this little shop - perfect for gifts and plants for the house. We've bought two calatheas from Moonko which have been thriving for two years now in our lounge. We also love the pots, jewellery, prints, quirky cards and handmade soaps (their shampoo bar is incredible!) - they are also stockists of one of my favourite stationery brands Rifle Paper Co whose stuff is just lovely. The shop owner is always so keen to help and offer advice, she is very knowledgeable about plants. Her heart and soul clearly goes into this shop - I can't walk past without going in for a mooch around!

Not only does she stock a variety of plants, but also lots of wonderfully different gifts... Plus soaps that come in eco friendly packaging. Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to MoonKo for years; I love how it’s evolved as a business and the staff are always friendly and knowledgable. I bought a beautiful calathea and a string of hearts most recently and they’re both thriving in my living room. I was given excellent care advice for it as plants can be picky! MoonKo has an excellent range of cards and some beautiful enamel pins, and the BEST winter scented candles by Nathalie Bond that I buy every year for my house to smell wonderful at Christmas.

Negative experience: Being a plant fanatic, I can say that these are very overpriced plants, you are much better off getting your plants from B&Q or online. The shop opposite "Plantology Floral Creations" has a much better range, and the prices are a lot more reasonable. The staff at Moonko were really condescending and often like to lie that they have new stock coming in every time you step into the shop, but in truth, they are just trying to get rid of their old stock as the plants were still of the the same range every time I went in. A few months ago, I thought I'd give their plants a try, so I bought a Monstera Deliciosa, the owner of the shop told me that the plant had been under watered for some reason, but that it shouldn't cause any problems at all. I trusted them, and just went on and took care of it as per normal, and within a month the leaves started to brown at the edges and the plant eventually failed to thrive. Incredibly disappointed at the service this place has to offer, as the place was aesthetic, but clearly the quality of the plants did not match up.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic indie shop for gifts- plants, jewellery, prints, ceramics, stationery, with a fantastic selection of cards. (Its the only place I’ll go for greetings cards.) The prices are fair - it’s not cheap but an independent retailer selling good quality products isn’t going to be. The staff are lovely - friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: This shop is very unique, so it is outstanding and it keeps you looking around for that something, that little item, to say thank-you, or get well-soon, some items practical, some just useful so your plant can pop on your windowsill or the end of a shelf or with a bigger plan a book-End, the small little bird brooches are just unique and the small bits of jewellery made in Sheffield or just the UK, Why buy all your small bit's from out side the UK, when you live in the UK, but the standed of the staff so pleasant to talk to and just so helpful and friendly, is just what you need when in a small but perfect shop in one of the most beautiful city in the UK. Sorry?, I am biased, as I was born in Jessops Hospital in 1955, and I am not to old to such an outstanding shop.

Fantastic experience: Tempted in by visitors to Sheffield, one of which is drawn to odd little places like this, just as I am to hippy shops (so I already owed them, as you can imagine given the area), it was a great little shop to peruse around. The contents appear to have spilled out of the mind and pockets of the delightful owner, and decided to set up home where they landed. Whether you will buy owt depends on whether you need a crocheted cactus, because you really are that bad at growing things, whether you have a soft spot for the unique, or whether you feel obligated after bringing your eyes to within a few inches of everything in the shop, to at least make a purchase. I would certainly go again, and be willing to take other friends who are a sucker for such stuff. It certainly feels like it's in the right place too, perfect addition to a wander down Division Street.

Negative experience: Most stuff Is overpriced

Positive experience: I've visited this shop a few times, really nice selection and very unique, little pricey but worth it for the uniqueness. The only downside I have with this shop is the staff, they are condescending and constantly watch your every move, they also seem to have a problem if you dare to touch or pick anything up. Normally running over to "see if you need help". All in all a nice shop if you don't mind the staff.
